Frequently asked Questions

What is the difference between a Psychic and Medium?

A psychic can tune into the energy of a person, place, or thing and receive information on past, present and future events. The information a psychic receives is based on our lives and concerns here in the physical world, like finances, relationships, career and health.

A medium receives information directly from those in the Afterlife by tuning into their energy (spirit). Although loved ones in spirit can share information about your past, present and future, the most significant type of information a medium receives is based on proving survival after death.

What are Spirit Guides?

Spirit Guides are of the nonphysical realm that assist, guide and support us in our lives. Some Spirit Guides have been with us from birth and will remain with us until we transition back into the Afterlife. Other Spirit Guides may be with us for a certain period of time, assisting us for as long as they are needed.

Some Spirit Guides have never experienced a physical life whereas some have. They can be highly evolved, skilled Masters or they can be someone who you had a deep connection with in this lifetime that is now in the Afterlife… like a family member, spouse or friend. They can even be a pet or an animal you are drawn to.

There are many types of Spirit Guides that work in directing us to fulfill our life purpose and helping us to achieve our goals. They can be known to assist with our health, talents, relationships, among many other things.

Spirit Guides are always available for us, guiding our spiritual growth and evolution while in this physical world. They can intervene by entering through our consciousness, sending messages that nudge us to consider a certain idea or action, but never demanding or telling us what to do.  And, just as with our loved ones in spirit, once we have completed our time here in this life, we will once again meet them in the Afterlife.

How soon can I schedule a session after the passing of a loved one?

I believe communication with our loved ones can occur anytime they choose to come through. I have experienced communication with those who were in comas while on life support miles away. I also experienced one case in which a loved one was at the end stage of her life, no longer conscious, yet she was communicating with me while I sat in the room with her until she took her last breath. Once our loved ones fully transition into the Afterlife, it can be less than 24hrs that they come through or it can be a week or two later.

However, because I have had a Shared Death Experience with my father when he transitioned from this world to the next, and experienced the beautiful process that our loved ones experience when they leave this physical world, I feel we should allow them time to adjust and to go through the process of being in the Afterlife. My experience with my father lasted almost one straight week before my awareness slowly and fully returned back to the physical world. I learned that there is so much occurring in the Afterlife once our loved ones transition, and what I experienced along with what my father was experiencing, was just a small portion of the beginning of his journey there.

So, I think in order to get the most out of communication with our loved ones in spirit through a medium, I would wait at least one month after their passing. Maybe not all mediums will agree with me, but I personally speak from my own experience of having a Shared Death Experience with my father and what I learned from that. But, if you do decide to have a session shortly after your loved one’s passing, it is very possible that other loved ones in spirit who have been there longer will assist in bringing them through.

I also think it is important to give yourself time to grieve and not rush too soon after the passing of a loved one. I always want to make sure a person is ready for a session with me.  Although seeing a medium can be a very healing experience as you move through your grieving process, I believe that the timing for when you do is very important as well.
